Flexible Splicing Technology for yarn-like spliced joints.

Outstanding Process Reliability and Perfection.

The Oerlikon Schlafhorst splicing concept is based on the practice-proven air-splicing-principle. This system is superior because it is of modular design. The basic splicing process can be optimised at any time to adapt it to new yarn structures. With the use of only a few additional components the Standardsplicer can be converted into the variants Injectionsplicer, Elastosplicer and Thermosplicer.

Advantages of the Schlafhorst-Splicing system:

  • Great flexibility in the textile application.
  • Exact reproducibility of the spliced joints.
  • High process stability.
  • Easy operation and maintenance.

Quality features of the spliced joints:

  • Highest resistance against alternating stresses.
  • Optimum processability in downstream processing.
  • Very good visual appearance.
  • High tensile strength.
  • Yarn-like orientation of the fibres.

Universal Splicing Principle

The Autoconer splicing process consists of the partial processes: Positioning of the yarns (1), Sucking up of the yarn ends (2), Loosening and opening of the yarn ends (3), Pulling the yarn back into the prism (4), Intermingling and twist insertion (5). The splicing parameters like opening pressure or splicing pressure can be set centrally at the Informator.

Using the various splicer types the splicing process can be optimally adapted to the specific material characteristics.
