At the end of December 2005, Saurer founded a joint venture together with the Chinese Company Jinsheng. Saurer holds a share of 70% in the joint venture. Jinsheng is a Chinese manufacturer of machines and components for staple fiber spinning. Above all Jinsheng has a strong position in the Chinese market and reaches 40% market share in China with “Jinfang”, a cotton open-cleaning unit and clean-combing unit.. Jinsheng was founded in the 50ies as a small business manufacturing wood, ironware and bamboo products. Therefore Jinsheng is enabled to revert to long-lived experience.
The joint venture allows Saurer to further accelerate the development of the mid-range segments for ring spinning machines in Asia.
