The innovative length measuring system Ecopack FX measures the wound yarn length with highest precision by continuous sensory measurement. The yarn is measured over its entire length online during winding by way of the non-contacting yarn contour measurement. This new method increases the accuracy of measurement enormously. Differences in length below +1% can be achieved.

The greatest potentials for waste savings are visible during warping and sectional warping and during twisting. No additional feeding of packages after the run-out of the packages in the creel is necessary. In the winding process the today usual safety additional charge of the yarn lengths can be significantly reduced without having to fear an early run-out of packages in warping and sectional warping.
