The alternative route to ply yarn

With the SiroSpun process you are able to produce directly weavable, two-ply Siro yarn directly at the ring spinning machine, so eliminating the usual twisting process. In the SiroSpun process, two rovings are led in parallel through the drafting system, and are only combined once they have passed the nip point of the front top and front bottom rollers. The result is a twofold ply yarn, so-called Siro yarn, a twist consisting of twisted single yarns.
